Kinder Students Inquire About Science Tools

Kindergarten students in Ms Morehead's class have been INQUIRERS. They have been exploring different kinds of science tools and what we can lean from them. It's never too early to start thinking like a scientist! They even had a nurse come talk about what it is like to work in an operating room and she shared how she uses different tools in her job.

Aliens at COE?

No, there aren't any REAL aliens at COE, but 5th grade students have been using Photoshop in art class to transform their faces into aliens!  Students are experimenting with different editing tools to extract their face and squeeze and stretch their features to look out of this world! 

Music Twister

To get back in the swing of things, music students played Music Twister. Students had fun reviewing their knowledge of notes and pitch!

Teachers Tackle the Tech Challene

Even before school began, Chandler Oaks teachers were hard at work!  Teams of teachers banded together for a friendly competition in stretching their tech skills.  If your son or daughter comes home talking about wikis, wordles, and vokis, it's not another language - their teacher is using some cutting edge tech tools to help our students be engaged in learning and develop higher level thinking skills!  We are committed to developing those 21st century skills!
